Who we are
nals.io (“NALS”) is a personalized audio system built by Matthew F. Stevens. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, why, and how it’s handled.
What we collect
- Name and email address — collected when you purchase or begin the intake process.
- Payment information — handled entirely by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details; we only receive confirmation that a payment was made, the amount, and the email address associated with it.
- Voice recordings — if you complete the intake process, we record your spoken answers to build your personalized audio system.
- Usage data — if you have an account, we track basic playback activity (e.g., when you play a track) so we can follow up appropriately and improve the product.
- Check-in responses — replies to the automated check-in emails sent after you receive your system.
How we use it
- To verify your payment and grant access to the intake process.
- To build your personalized pre-sleep audio system, including transcribing your voice answers and generating audio using ElevenLabs’ voice technology.
- To create and maintain your account, so you can log in and access your system.
- To send you check-in emails and respond to your replies.
- To improve NALS based on aggregate usage patterns.
Who we share it with
- PayPal — to process payment. See PayPal’s own privacy policy for how they handle your payment data.
- ElevenLabs — to transcribe your voice answers and generate your personalized audio.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
How your voice recordings are stored
Your recordings and finished audio tracks are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible — they are never served as public files. Only you (while logged into your account) and Matthew (for building and reviewing your system) can access them.
Your account
If you complete a purchase, we create an account for you so you can log in and access your audio system. Your login session is kept active for up to a year so you don’t have to sign in every time, since this is a product used at bedtime.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you’d like your data deleted, contact us using the information below.
Cookies
This site uses a login session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Age
NALS is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian’s involvement before using this site.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
